The Oncology Center team is dedicated to providing excellent outpatient
infusion service that includes:
Treatment in a relaxed, comfortable, friendly setting
Experienced infusion nurses
Empowerment of patients by teaching them how to care for themselves, answering
their questions and providing support and encouragement
Coordination of care with the patient’s physician
Follow-up care
Appointments that meet the patient’s needs
The Oncology Center serves a diverse group of patients, including those with
central lines, who are not hospitalized but need frequent administration of
intravenous treatments, including:
Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy
Patients needing intravenous antibiotics
Patients who need other intravenous medications

Biological response modifiers
Care of central line catheter
Chemotherapy, including ambulatory pumps
Hydration therapy
Many types of intravenous therapies
IV antibiotic therapy
IV anti-emetic care

Therapeutic phlebotomy
Supplemental services that support clinical care include:
Assessment and evaluations
Procuring specimens for lab testing
Providing updates to the primary physician

progress notes, nursing assessments and discharge summaries
