Defiance Clinic Welcomes New Physicians

In an expansion of service, Defiance Clinic has recruited a new full-time physician Raj Gunda, M.D., to provide both Oncology and Hematology services, and Raza Hashmi, M.D., has joined the rotation of visiting Cardiologists.
“We are most fortunate to have an experienced, full-time physician who is qualified to treat not only cancer but also blood disorders such as hemophilia and anemia,” said Chad L. Peter, Clinic president and chief executive officer. “Hematology is a new service for us and having it available here will be a convenience for patients.”
In addition to board certification in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, Dr. Gunda also has more than 20 years of experience. She comes to the Clinic from Findlay where she has practiced since 1988. Read more

Learn how at Defiance Clinic's new diabetes education program, Living Well with Diabetes, officially recognized by the American Diabetes Association (ADA) for quality self-management education.
The instructors are Certified Diabetes Educator Belinda Laney, R.N., B.S.N., C.D.E., nurse Cindy Weasel R.N., pharmacist Heather Schaper, R.Ph., dietitian Erica Baker, R.D., L.D., and Certified Athletic Trainer Scott Buddlemeyer, A.T.C.
